Frequently Asked Questions
Why come to Canada?
Canada has one of the highest immigration rates per capita among OECD countries, welcoming hundreds of thousands of immigrants each year. Canada is also a highly inclusive place, with its multicultural approach to society that has established diverse and ethnic neighbourhoods, particularly in urban centres such as Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver. It’s also the 6th-safest country in the world and is known to be very family-friendly.
As the 9th-largest economy in the world, it’s a great country to work in. Its main industries include the service industry, natural resources, and tech, and it has one of the highest minimum wages in the world. The education system is world-class and highly accessible; this is evident by the fact that Canada is the most educated country in the world, with 60% of adults having a tertiary level of schooling.
One of the things Canada is most famous for is its universal health care system. Healthcare programs are reliable and provide a high quality of care without paying out of pocket for most healthcare services. The country also focuses on its citizens’ health in another way: Canada has among the most benefits and paid leave in the world, including parental leave.
How do I get started?
You can quickly get started by scheduling a free 10-minute discovery call with our Registered Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC’s).
What kinds of applications do we work on?
We work on permanent residence applications (family sponsorship, federal skilled worker, Canadian experience class, provincial nominee program and business investor programs), temporary residence applications (visitor visas, work permit/visas and study permit/student visas), visa/permit renewals (extend visitor visas, work permit renewal, student visa renewal, PR card renewal) and citizenship applications.
Why hire a Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant?
Registered Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC’s) are professionally trained in the rules and laws relating to immigration applications. They are designated by the only national body licensed to do so, the College of Immigration Consultants Canada (CICC), and are kept up-to-date on government rules and regulations, including policy changes, in the field of immigration. All licensed immigration consultants are listed on the CICC public register, and it is an offense punishable by law to provide Canadian immigration services for a fee if not licensed by the CICC, a Canadian law society, or the Quebec law society.
All of our consultants are registered by the CICC. The CICC has a strong code of conduct that each consultant must abide by or else face punitive actions, such as revocations, suspensions, or operating restrictions. This ensures you are provided with the most knowledgeable, legitimate and professional advice that best serves you and your specific situation. Knowing the rules improves the chances of your application being approved without delay.

Do we accept cases from other countries?
Absolutely! We can assist clients from most countries on any of the application types listed on our website. Please get in touch with us for more info.
What are our fees?
Our fees are dependent on the type of application you require. Please get in touch with us to obtain detailed information about our fees and payment structure.
Do we offer in-office appointments?
Safety of both our staff and our clients is our main priority during the pandemic. We are currently operating online, via Zoom, Google Meets, or WhatsApp video chat, with in-person appointments scheduled only on an as-needed basis.
Which languages do we operate in?
We primarily operate in English but can also assist clients in French, Spanish, Hindi, and Arabic upon request.
**Subject to the availability of our translators**
Can you assist me if I have previous refusals?
Absolutely. Many clients who come to us have been refused in the past prior to obtaining our assistance. However, this information, along with the reasons for refusal, are important to note in your initial consultation with our RCIC to make sure we can properly assess your case.
What are the next steps after I finalize the retainer?
After we have our initial consultation and we finalize a retainer agreement, we will send you a detailed questionnaire and start the application process. We will also schedule a fallow-up meeting, if needed, to collect additional information and/or documentation required for the application.
Do we guarantee approval of my application?
No immigration consultancy or law firm can guarantee you approval, as such you should be extremely wary of any firm that does so. Final decision on your application completely rests on the immigration officer assessing your case. Of course, we will use all of our expertise to maximize your chance of getting your application accepted. We have significant experience in doing so, and pride ourselves in providing the best service possible to all of our clients.
This does not include cases in which false, incomplete or misleading information was provided by the client.
What if your application is refused?
If your application gets refused, our consultant will obtain a copy of the refusal letter and request a copy of the GCMS notes on file.
For an additional fee, we will also resubmit your application.
Do we offer payment installments?
For most application types, the payment structure is as follows: 50% upon signing the retainer agreement, and the remaining 50% upon submission of the application. Please note that government fees are separate from the professional fees billed by our Firm.
How long does the application process typically take?
The application process varies highly based on the complexity of your specific application type. For example, our RCIC would be able to submit a Visitor Visa Application in two business days, as long as information is provided by the client is complete. Whereas, it may take up to 3-4 weeks for a Spousal Sponsorship application since our RCIC would want to ensure you have a robust application for the IRCC Case Officer’s consideration.
IRCC have their own processing times for each application type once received by the department. Please visit the IRCC estimator here for more information on processing times.
What kinds of things can prevent you from coming to Canada?
Some people are not permitted to come to Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). Under IRPA, these reasons are classified as “inadmissibility” criteria (Division 4, sections 33-43). Inadmissibility criteria include the following:
- (s.34) grounds of security, such as engaging in espionage, terrorism, or otherwise being a danger to the security of Canada
- (s.35) violating human or international rights
- (s.36) criminality or serious criminality for offences that occurred both within and outside Canada
- (s.37) belonging to an organization that engages in transnational crime or is part of a pattern of organized criminal activity
- (s.38) health, including public health and public safety
- (s.39) being unable or unwilling to financially support themselves or any person dependent on them
- (s.40) misrepresentation, including directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding information relating to their application
- (s.41) failing to comply with the IRPA
- (s.42) accompanying inadmissible family members
If you or your dependants may be inadmissible, let your consultant know immediately to discuss your options. Each of these criteria have their own exceptions, which we can elaborate on in a one-on-one consultation.
